Washler Construction follows a well thought-out process for every home we build which evolves as each home is built to meet the needs of the homeowner. We believe that building a good quality home is not only about the physical quality of the building, but also includes an enjoyable experience for the client who is involved every step of the way. This process is ever changing and evolving to constantly improve the homeowner’s experience.
The highlights of this process are:
- Our sales people care about your needs and desires. We first learn about your needs and desires and determine if we are a good fit. We are not out to build a home for everyone we meet.
- Washler Construction’s process is very easy for our homeowners to follow. We have prepared a Home Owners Manual that leads the client through the entire process from designing to maintaining the home for years to come.
- Our staff architect will turn your ideas into the home of your dreams. Once we have a good understanding of the homeowners needs and desires we begin to design the home of your dreams. We will spend as much time as we need at this point to ensure that all your needs and desires are met in the design.
- We have a detailed bidding process. Once we have a final design, we take the time to prepare a meticulous bid ensuring that nothing is left out to ensure no surprises during the construction of the home. This may include several options and revisions to the bid, and may take two to three weeks.
- We will present you with a detailed contract. Once we have the details figured out, we will prepare a detailed contract so that the details are clear on the features of the home. This will only take a day or two.
- We have relationships with lenders who can make it all possible. After the contract is signed, final arrangements can be made with the lender so that we may begin the project. This may take fifteen to thirty days.
- Before we begin, we will discuss any details that need to be cleared up, such as placement on the lot, when selections need to be made, ect.
- Once we begin the construction of your new home, you will receive weekly updates from your customer service representative. Your personal customer service representative will keep you up to date on what is happening at your site, answer any questions, and help you to coordinate the timing of your selections. The building of your new home will probably take four to six months.
- When the home is nearly completed, we will do a walk thru with you to explain the operation of all the features in your new home. At this point most builders would ask you for a “punch list” (a list of items that need corrected), we don’t believe in asking our homeowners to prepare a “punch list” that’s our job. At this point we have been working day in and day out on your home and we already know what needs attention to meet the high standard we set for ourselves.
- When the home is completed we will have a closing and you may begin to enjoy your new home.
- We will not stop after closing. Our Customer Service Coordinator will see to it that you enjoy your new home and that any concerns are taken care of promptly.
