Washler Construction:

Jeff Washler- President

 Jeff began his tenure within the home building industry during high school and chooses this as a life long profession after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Business Management.  Washler Construction was started in 1996 with the premise of “Building Friendships, One New Home at a Time.”  Jeff incorporates his core values of integrity, honesty and quality into each home he builds.  His commitment of personal hands on involvement is given to each customer, thus reinforcing the process of a rewarding building experience.

Jeff maintains memberships in national, state and local building association organizations.  He gives of his time as a member of the DeKalb County 4-H Council. In his spare time he enjoys winter sports, non fiction books, and playing with big boy “Tonka Toys.”

Laura Hadfield- Office Administrator

Meet Laura, our Office Administrator who also performs the duties of Customer Service Representative and Customer Service Coordinator.  Laura moved to Auburn in 2003 after her husband was transfer here from their native Michigan.  Laura brings positive energy to her position, and enjoys working with each Washler Construction customer.

On the home front, Laura is busy with the activities of two active children while having the assistance of the family pet, their golden retriever, Jake.  Being from Michigan, she and her husband are avid Detroit Red Wing fans, who thinks the only object to go into nets are ice pucks not basketballs

Rich Lengacher- Construction Superintendent

As a native of rural Allen County, Rich has spent over 40 years in the construction industry.  His extensive experience in custom residential work allows Washler Construction to bring fulfillment to the dreams of our customers.  He enjoys his position, because people and quality are central to his daily decisions and not just the bottom line.  Rich is quite the craftsman, who brings his caring attitude in detailing out every Washler build home.

Rich loves to spend time at home bouncing grandchildren off his knee, or attending to projects around the house. His hobbies include gardening and the new interest of traveling with his wife.

Shane Hadfield- Sales

Shane is our other salesperson who sells the benefits of a Washler Construction home because he and his wife owns one.  Shane moved here from Michigan in 2002 to take a new position with Guardian Automotive, at which time he contracted with Washler Construction to build a new home for him and his family. The friendships that develop resulted in Shane joining the Washler team.  He brings the perspective of a “real life experience” when consulting with customers on who to build their home.

Shane is a supportive father, who enjoys his children activities. He watches NASCAR racing, especially Tony Steward #20 and enjoys watching Detroit Red Wing hockey with his wife.

Jerry Likens, CPBD- Certified Designer

As our staff designer, Jerry brings 16 years of experience in the field of new home design and 28 years in the field of civil engineering. This background provides our clients the knowledge needed in designing a home to meet their needs and desires. Jerry received his degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Purdue University and earned his Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) by the National Council of Building Design Certification. Jerry is a member of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) and has served in several leadership positions. 

Besides enjoying his grandchildren, Jerry spends his leisure time golfing, gardening and camping. He is a retired coach, having spent 15 years instructing Little League Baseball and youth soccer.
